Joost Daalmans

Joost Daalmans (1977) has over 15 years of experience with real estate and even more specifically with the valuation of real estate. He can be described as an analytical, committed and quality-oriented real estate specialist who asks the right questions. After gaining extensive experience as a Registered Valuer at DTZ Zadelhoff and later in the role of Associate Director at Cushman & Wakefield, he started at BDO in May 2017.

As Senior Manager from the BDO office in Amstelveen, Joost is responsible for the day-to-day affairs of the Real Estate Valuation Services team. This department is part of the tax advice practice in Amstelveen, but is active nationally and within the various business lines within BDO. Joost has a national focus and frequently supports fellow accountants in auditing the annual accounts of (international) companies that are required to value their real estate in terms of balance purposes. His focus is on the value of the real estate. He also supports colleagues from the tax advisory practice and, for example, Advisory on various issues surrounding the value of real estate.

A strong focus on the public sector emerges from his connection and interest in real estate and society. In practice, Joost has been active as an appraiser or advisor for a large number of housing corporations in the Netherlands. In addition to the public sector, he has also gained a lot of experience with Corporate Clients. For example, he has conducted objection and appeal procedures for one of the larger Dutch pension fund managers for many years, but he has also been active for a longer period as an Asset Quality Reviewer on behalf of the European Central Bank at a Dutch large bank. In addition, Joost is also active in our real estate due diligence practice, he is part of the BDO sector group Construction & Real Estate and he is a permanent part of BDO's International Real Estate & Construction Group.

Joost Daalmans obtained his Master in Science in Real Estate by completing this education at the University of Greenwich in London. He is a registered member of the Dutch Register of Real Estate Appraisers (NRVT) and has been awarded the title Register Valuer (RT) and Register Expert Market Analysis and Model-based Valuation (RDMW). In addition to the aforementioned certifications, Joost also has the note of Large Business Real Estate in the register and is a Master RT. As a result, Joost can and may guide candidate Register Appraisers in the last phase of their training, the master / apprentice trajectory.

Joost is also a qualified and registered member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), which has awarded him the title of MRICS. RICS promotes and maintains the highest professional qualifications and standards in the development and management of land, real estate, construction and infrastructure.
