Social Domain

Social Domain

Due to decentralisation on account of the Dutch Social Support Act 2015 (Wmo), Youth Act and Participation Act, many tasks and financial resources are the responsibility of local authorities. This means many and major changes in all areas: governance, strategy, implementation and operational management. The imminent Dutch Environment and Planning Act (Omgevingswet) is making things even more complex. Various local authorities are also discussing economies of scale, reorganisation and collaboration.

Vision and strategy

The developments in the social domain require a clear and management-supported vision and it will be essential for an organisation to have the adaptability to translate this vision into daily practice. Our specialists can draw up scenarios, business cases and SWOT analyses to help formulate your vision and strategy.

Adaptability Scan

Together with the VU University in Amsterdam, BDO developed an evidence-based scan to quantify adaptability in organisations. This scan was created on a scientific basis and presented in a practical design. The results of the scan offer specific tools to improve the adaptability within your organisation.
